My name is Leah and I'm a portrait photographer in Salt Lake City. My photography is all about capturing your timeless memories. I have a fresh/modern/fun style. I absolutely love photography and almost always carry my camera around with me every where. I strive to capture life as it happens, and create that feeling of nostalgia.

As much as I love photography, I limit the amount of work I take on to keep my creativity fresh and be able to be available for my own family time. As of right now I'm booking for June & July 2012.

…Really bad that is. It’s been over a year and I have had it on my to do list for a long time. I promise to all of you readers that I’ll be posting a whole lot more regularly now.

But here is one of the reasons I wasn’t around…

In Nov ’09 I found out I was pregnant..

And then I had back surgery. I have been suffering for almost 6 years now with pain in my lower back and right leg. After much thought and praying I decided surgery was my only option. I had a two level fusion at 22 years old. Even though we think the surgery has failed, it felt like it was worth it. I’ve never had surgery before and to be honest it took a lot of different things to get me moving and back to my self. We’re trying all kinds of new things now, to try and help the pain but I can say I don’t plan on not shooting. It’s the one thing other than my family and friends that I love so much and makes me happy.

So everyone, I thank you all so much who has read my blog in the past and are still here. I can’t wait to meet new readers. And this time I plan on sticking around.. I promise!

Workshop & Out of Town Session

I’ll be out for the next few days attending an AMAZING workshop by Ali Hohn! Her work is amazing and from what I hear so is her workshop!! Rock that OCF! I’ve become friends with her and she’s such a wonderful lady! Go check her work out it’s amazing!

After the workshop I’ll be going up to Idaho for a few days to do a family session! Can I just say that I love family sessions!

I will be away from my computer for a few days, but I promise I will get back to you when I get back home!

This girl is probably my life saver. Kayleen makes all of this possible for me! She helps take care of my son Alex and does such an amazing job, he loves her so much! I’m so lucky to of found such a wonderful person to watch him. And because of all of that and she’s gorgeous I had to take some pictures of her!

I love doing Senior photos, the girls or guys are so upbeat and almost always have a fun style! Dani was so awesome, her sister and mom were there to help and we were all laughed the entire time! She’s into sports big time; especially swimming!

This girl was SO much fun and had such an imagination! Her mom needed some head shoots of her and it wasn’t hard at all to photograph her! We talked all about the Disney Channel and her favorite shows! She loves to dance and she showed me her awesome moves!

This chunky little boy is the same age as my son, but he’s 5 pounds heavier! I didn’t believe mom until I picked him up! Since I’ve had my son I haven’t seen anyone bigger than him until this guy! He was such a little rascal and it was so much fun chasing him around. This is his serious pose below haha isn’t he just adorable?
